He stated that a departmental probe is currently underway to curb encroachments on water bodies throughout Assam. “There will be no leniency in removing illegal encroachments to protect these vital resources,” he assured the public.Looking forward, Paul also spoke about the government’s ambitious agricultural development plans. Assam aims to achieve an annual production of 7 lakh metric tons of fish and a daily output of 10 lakh liters of milk by 2030, transitioning from an importer to a self-sufficient exporter of these essential commodities. “This reflects our commitment to building a self-reliant and prosperous economy,” he concluded.
