Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma recently met Japan’s State Minister of Justice, Komura Masahiro, during his visit to Japan, where they focused on strengthening the economic and cultural ties between the two nations. One of the key points of discussion was the Assam government’s initiative to create an industrial park designed specifically to attract Japanese companies. This initiative aims to foster economic growth by providing a supportive environment for international business collaborations.CM Sarma took to X (formerly Twitter), sharing, “It was a privilege to meet H.E. Mr. Komura Masahiro, Japan’s State Minister of Justice. We discussed the shared values between India and Japan, with a special focus on how Buddhist ideals create a spiritual connection between our cultures.”In addition to the industrial park proposal, Sarma also addressed the growing demand for skilled labor in Japan, highlighting Assam’s youth as a valuable resource.
