A 15-year-old girl, who was allegedly kidnapped from Imphal, Manipur on September 9, 2022 was rescued in Guwahati, Assam yesterday and safely brought home.
The minor was rescued from the Guwahati Railway Station.
According to reports, the 15-year-old was allegedly kidnaped by an individual hailing from Bihar.
The accused has been identified as Hanslal Kumar (29) a resident of East Champaran, Bihar.
According to sources, the father of the victim filed an FIR and stated that his daughter was reportedly abducted by the accused on September 9 at around 7:30 am from Mantripukhri while she was going to school.

Following this, a team of police left for Guwahati and successfully arrested accused Hanslal Kumar on September 11 from the Guwahati Railway Station.
Later, the accused was produced before the CJM Court which ordered convicting him to four-day transit remand till September 14.
