Guwahati: 102 Kg Ganja Seized at Railway Station, 4 Arrested

Guwahati: The Railway Police seized a huge amount of ganja on Tuesday from Guwahati railway station and arrested a person in this connection.

The arrested accused was identified as Raju Kumar (26), a resident of Bihar.

As per the official, the ganja has been seized from Champakkranti Express.

Kumar was carrying the ganja from Badarpur to Bihar, officially added.

Last week, huge quantities of drugs worth nearly Rs 7 crore were seized from Assam’s Karbi Anglong and Karimganj districts.

Police seized over 1100 kg of ganja worth over Rs 3 crore and arrested a person in Karimganj district along the Assam-Tripura border on Friday. The arrested person has been identified as Manish Kumar from Bihar.

In another incident, police seized 800 kg of ganja and 40.07 gm of heroin from a vehicle coming from Manipur. Three persons have been arrested in this connection.
