Three kidnapped Assam girls rescued in Ahmedabad

Three minor girls from Assam’s West Karbi Anglong district who had gone missing have been rescued by the police in Ahmedabad today.

All three girls reportedly hail from Baithalangso in Karbi Anglong.

The three girls were reported missing from Toradubi, and on September 11, their family members filed a FIR at the Baithalangso Police Station in this regard.

Two minor boys were named in the FIR for allegedly abducting the girls.

The accused boys have been identified as Dhanesh Barman and Pawan Barman, both hailing from Baksa district.

Following the FIR filed by the girl’s family members, an investigation was launched and the police were able to locate the girls’ cell phones, which revealed that they were currently travelling to Ahmedabad via train.

The young girls were rescued by the Ahmedabad Railway Police after they were informed of the incident, and the accused duo have also been arrested.

According to reports, the Ahmedabad Police also managed to rescue another young girl and a boy.

The arrested minors and the rescued have been brought back from Ahmedabad by the Baithalangso Police.
