Assam: Rhino Carcass Found In Kaziranga National Park

Guwahati: The carcass of a rhinoceros was found on Thursday in Assam’s Kaziranga National Park.

According to sources, the mortal remains were found in the Kohora forest area in Kaziranga.

The rhino’s body was discovered close to the second pedestal of the elephant safari, sources added.

It is suspected that the rhino has passed due to old age.

Last week, the carcass of an adult male rhino with its horn intact was found near the Pisola forest camp in Assam’s Orang National Park. Forest personnel on duty spotted the carcass and informed senior officers who examined it. Forest officials suspect it might have died due to old age.
