0 4

Soon, the three regional committees formed by the Meghalaya government for the interstate border talks will jointly hold meetings with the regional committees formed by the Assam government, said Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma.

The regional committees have organised discussions and visits to the border areas, according to CM Sangma.

He stated that the West Khasi Hills Committee met for the first time on Friday and that other committees would do the same.

According to Chief Minister Sangma, it is a process and no immediate results can be expected.

He did, however, assure that the process is on and hopes that another chief ministerial-level meeting can take place soon.
