Nagaon: As part of the celebration of 75th years jubilee of National Cadet Corps (NCC), 8 Assam battalion, NCC, Tezpur Group organized a mega blood donation campaign here at Nowgong College today.
During the campaign, over 125 officers, junior commission officer, NCC cadets, ex NCC cadets participated in the drive and donated blood for the patients in emergency use.
The programme was initiated by Colonel Amar Singh. Deputy commissioner, Nagaon Narendra Kr Shah graced the programme as the chief guest. While addressing the event, DC Shah urged the cadet to be obedient to their parents, teachers as well as NCC instructors. He also asked them to contribute them in nation building. He urged all of them to join armed forces. Finally,the programme concluded with a traditional Bagarumba dance performed by the cadets of NCC unit, a release added.
