Mumbai: Actress Kangana Ranaut has sought permission from the Lok Sabha Secretariat to shoot her film “Emergency” inside the Parliament premises. Sources have given this information on Sunday. Sources said Ranaut’s letter is under consideration. But they are unlikely to get permission. He said in a letter to the Lok Sabha Secretariat, Ranaut has requested that she be allowed to shoot a film based on the Emergency inside the Parliament premises.

Normally, private entities are not allowed to shoot or make videos inside the Parliament complex. Sources told that the shooting was done for some official or government work. It’s a different thing if you’re going. He said that mainly state broadcasters, Doordarshan and Sansad TV are allowed to shoot programmes inside Parliament.

Sources said there is no precedent for any private party to be allowed to shoot for private work inside Parliament. The shooting of ‘Emergency’ started in June this year. The film is being directed by Ranaut. Apart from this, she herself is the writer and producer of the film. She is also playing the role of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in the film, who imposed emergency in the country in 1975.
