An Assamese woman photojournalist in FIFA World Cup, captured unforgettable moments on camera

Guwahati:There is a nationwide frenzy about the FIFA World Cup. In the midst of such a frenzy, another good news has made many happy. A woman from Assam was present as a photographer and sports journalist at the month-long sports event in Qatar. Her name is Geetika Talukdar, who earlier worked in several other news groups including “Amar Asom” newspaper, is now a well-known sports journalist at the international level. Apart from photo journalism, there is immense expertise in song and dance. Geetika has covered the FIFA World Cup a total of twice including this time.

She was also present as a photojournalist in the FIFA World Cup 2018. She has also increased the standard of Assam by being the only journalist from North East India in the 2022 Qatar World Cup. Geetika Talukdar has been officially selected and recognized by FIFA.
