Mumbai: Protests continue over the song of Shah Rukh Khan starrer ‘Pathan’.A man has lodged an FIR with the Mumbai Police regarding the saffron dress worn by actress Deepika Padukone.
The FIR has been lodged against the producers, directors and lead cast members of the film accusing them of “deliberate” using saffron colours to hurt religious sentiments of the people and disrespect the Hindu religion.
It is alleged that the song has increased obscenity among the youth and it may disturb law and order in the society.The song has been the epicentre of protests by some right-wing groups, with effigies of Khan and others burnt in Indore in Madhya Pradesh and other parts.Madhya Pradesh home minister Narottam Mishra also objected to the colour of the costumes used by the cast in the song.
