New Delhi:A notice of property worth Rs 1 crore and jalkar has been sent to the Taj Mahal authorities. The Agra Municipal Corporation has issued a notice directing them to clear the dues at the earliest. The outstanding bills sent to the Taj Mahal authority are for the financial years 2021-22 and 2022-23, the civic body said in the notice. Not only that, the municipal corporation has warned that if the dues are not cleared within 15 days, the property will be ‘confiscated’.
The Survey of India (ASI), which is under the supervision of the Taj Mahal, is shocked to receive the notice to clear the dues. For the first time in its 370-year history, they have issued a notice to pay taxes.
