New Delhi:Although their medicines are sold in large quantities in India. But they failed to meet the World Health Organization’s criteria! At least that’s what Nepal’s drug regulatory authority claims. Recently, 16 Indian pharmaceutical companies have been blacklisted. Ramdev’s Divya Pharmacy is also on the list. There was an uproar over the whole incident. Questions have been raised on what basis companies unable to meet the World Health Organization’s criteria are doing business in India.

On December 18, Nepal’s Drug Administration issued a notice in this regard. Local traders have been instructed to immediately withdraw medicines from blacklisted Indian companies. The guidelines also state that the medicines of these companies cannot be imported to Nepal in the future in any way. Experts from Nepal came to India in April and July to manufacture medicines.
