Dr. Lakhyahira Das was given the Alok Prabhanjan Award-2022-23 and Promod Kalita, received the ‘Dainandin Barta Award 2022-23.
Guwahati:` The Assam Rising ” celebrates its 13th anniversary today. On the occasion the Assam Rising-2022 Award ceremony at the initiative of The Alokpravanjan Welfare Society, the mother trust of the Dainandin Barta group also held at Sri Sri Madhabdev International Auditorium of Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra ,Guwahati.
Today, a day-long event was held at the beautiful theatre of Sri Sri Madhabdev International Auditorium . .The Alokpravanjan Welfare Society initiative has been specially for the felicitation and award to leading personalities from different walks of life in the state. The first part of the programme was held at 11 am . A journalist workshop and lecture programme was also held at the event . Many journalists across the state joined the workshop.
The second programme started with Ganesh vandana in the presence of state Finance and Social Welfare minister Ajanta Neog at 1 pm. In a welcome speech Shankar Gohain, the Managing Director and the Editor of the Dainandin Barta Group greeted the gathering .
Minister Ajanta Neog was specially thanked for attending the function even during the assembly session.Like every year, ‘Alok Pravanjan-2022-23’ and ‘Dainandin Barta-2022-23’ , ‘The Assam Rising Felicitation -2022-23’ and , ‘The Assam Rising Special Felicitation -2022-23’ presented this year also. This time the eminent singer, Lyrist Dr. Lakhyahira Das was given the Alok Prabhanjan Award-2022-23 and Promod Kalita, Secretary,Assam Publication Board presented the ‘Dainandin Barta Award2022-23. “The Assam Rising “also specially felicitated eminent journalist Monorom Gogoi,popular singer Subashana Dutta and artist -social activist Nityananda Deka with ‘The Assam Rising Special Felicitation -2022-23’ at the event.
State Finance Minister Ajanta Neog praises Sankar Gohain ,the Managing Director of Dainandin Barta Group for organising such inspirative event.The programme was also attended by MLA of Diphu Bidya Sing Engleng and several other dignitaries.A souvenir was also published on the occasion of the event.
