The accident took place on National Highway 48 in Gujarat’s Navsari district on Friday night. A bus carrying passengers was coming from Ahmedabad. Almost all those on the bus were returning from the Swami Maharaj Shatabdi Mahotsav in Ahmedabad. Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself was present at the inauguration of the festival on December 14.
