Mew Delhi:Food from outside can not be entered in the cinema hall! The decision of the cinema hall authorities in this regard is the last word. On Tuesday, the Supreme Court gave priority to the hall owners in this regard.
Delivering the verdict in a PIL, Justice Chandrachud’s Benz said that cinema hall owners own property, they can make rules as per their own conditions, as long as it is not contrary to public interest, security and welfare. In the case of the sale of food and beverages, the hall-owner can keep his own conditions. It is entirely their personal opinion whether the audience who comes to watch the movie will buy that food or not. However, the Supreme Court has said that there will be no ban on children’s food. The supreme court also added that while there is a ban on food, it has to be ensured that cinema halls have free access to clean drinking water.
