Mumbai:A case filed by Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra against her former manager Prakash Jaju in the court has finally been settled. The actress’ former manager Prakash Jaju apologised to Priyanka with folded hands in the court.
In 2008, Priyanka had lodged a complaint with the Versova police for sending lewd messages against her former manager Prakash Jaju and for some comments made during a phone call.
Jaju was charged with criminal intimidation under Section 506(2) of the Indian Penal Code, insulting the modesty of a woman with words or gestures under Section 509 of the Indian Penal Code, and violating Section 67 of the Information Technology Act, 20.
The court finally quashed Priyanka’s FIR and directed Jaju to contribute Rs 50,000 to the Maharashtra Police Welfare Fund within two weeks.
