Alokprabhanjan Welfare Society celebrated Republic Day at Aradanga in Mokhrong

Every day, in the midst of busy work, people go out with an open mind and spend time in a quiet place with friends, family and associates. In line with the 74th Republic Day of the country, on Thursday, at the initiative of the Alokprabhanjan Welfare Society and Janakalyan Society and Sanskritik vidyalaya Welfare , Assam organized a picnic.

The participants of the picnic enjoy the immense beauty of nature and songs. There also organized various sports competitions, i.e Par-Pani, Music Chair competitions etc were held.Cultural programmes were also performed.

DB News journalist Munmi Gogoi won the women’s pani-par competition and Buddha Bikash Das of DB News won the men’s par-pani competition.

On the other hand, in the music chair competition Geetanjali Nath got the first prize, Suman Hazarika bagged the Second prize and Sabina Yasmin got the third position. Abul Hossain, a journalist from Nagarbera won in the men’s section.

After the competition, everyone who was present at the picnic spot created a joyous atmosphere with songs and dance . At the end of the competition, the owner and the Editor of the ‘Dainandin Shankar Gohain,S M Sangma, a local entrepreneur and social worker from Aradanga, gave away cash prizes to the .

It is to be noted that the Mokhrong area of Meghalaya, just 12 km from the Highway of Boko, bordering Kamrup, is full of the beauty of nature. Near it is another beautiful place called Houhwa. Many people go to the picnic place for picnics .
