Ankara:Turkey’s southern city shook in the early hours of Monday. The epicentre of the quake was about 18 kilometers underground, 26 kilometers east of the city of Nurdagi, east of Gaziantep province.

About 26 kilometers east of the city of Nurdagi on the east side of Gaziantep province, at a depth of about 18 kilometers underground. The magnitude of the quake on the Richter scale was 7.8. Shortly thereafter, another tremor was felt in central Turkey. According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), the magnitude of the second quake was 6.7. Local media reported that the quake was felt in parts of Lebanon, Syria and Cyprus.
