Death toll in Turkey-Syria earthquake rises to nearly 30,000; More than 85,000 injured

Ankara: The death toll in the Turkish-Syria earthquake has risen to 30,000. Many bodies are still suspected to be buried under the debris.

The death toll across Turkey and Syria after Monday’s earthquake is said to have reached 29,896. Turkey’s death toll has risen to 24,617, Turkish Vice President Fuat Okta told a news conference. According to latest reports, a total of 80,278 people have been injured in the quake.
