Adenovirus: Mystery over death of 11 children in Bengal
Kolkata:The highly contagious virus called adenovirus has now caused panic in West Bengal. The death of 11 children admitted to hospitals has also now created a mystery. Whether the deceased children were infected with adenovirus has also raised questions from many. However, there is no official report that the deaths of the children have been reported to be infected with adenovirus.
Children are more affected by adenovirus. In Bengal, many hospitals in West Bengal have run out of no vacant beds in the children’s departments. There are no empty ventilators, media reports said. The main symptoms of adenovirus are fever, cold, cough and shortness of breath. Many doctors claim that most of the children were infected with adenovirus, not seasonal fever and cold.
