New Delhi: The country’s capital city Delhi will be hit by the scorching heat. The same is the indication from the Meteorological Centre. The minimum temperature in Delhi on Wednesday was 15.4 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature was around 31 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature is expected to rise to 34 degrees Celsius by the weekend.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said today. The average maximum temperature in Delhi in February this year was 27.7 degrees Celsius, the third highest in the last 63 years. On February 20, Delhi recorded its third hot February day since 1969.The maximum temperature in Safdarjung area rose to 33.6 degrees Celsius on that day. Overall the country started storing temperature data by imd since 1901 The Meteorological Centre has said that temperatures in Delhi will rise at a noticeable rate between March and May.
