New Delhi:Burkina Faso trembled in the terrorist attack. At least 44 civilians were killed in a fierce attack by militants on two villages in northeast Burkina Faso near the Niger border.
The accused carried out the tandav in Kurakou and Tondobi villages. Several others were injured in the attack. Rodolphe Sorgo, lieutenant-governor of the Saley region, said 31 people died in Kurakou and 13 in Tondobi. It is to be noted that the very poor country has been a victim of al-Qaeda and islamic state jihadists. For the last seven years, the army has been carrying out operations against Islamic terrorists in the country, but has not been able to woo the terrorists.
