New Delhi: Khalistani leader Amritpal Singh’s new address will be central jail in Dibrugarh.He was arrested soon after Khalistani leader Amritpal Singh surrendered to the gurdwara. Amritpal’s wife Kirandeep was detained at the Amritsar airport three days ago when she was on her way to London. She was detained and interrogated by the customs department officials. She was subsequently sent to police custody as a precautionary measure.
Amritpal has been arrested under the National Security Act. After the surrender, Amritpal Singh was taken to the Air Force Base in Bhatinda. News agency ANI reported that Amritpal Singh is currently being brought to Dibrugarh in Assam. It may be recalled that earlier also several people sympathetic to the demand for a separate Khalistan and loyal to ‘Waris Punjab Dey’ chief Amritpal Singh have been brought to dibrugarh jail.
