New Delhi: leaders of several opposition political parties have stood by the wrestlers who have been protesting in the hope of getting justice at Jantar Mantar in Delhi. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Karnataka Congress chief DK Shivakumar, Kerala Congress MP Shashi Tharoor, RLD chief Jayant Sinha and the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Delhi are pitted against the leaders of the indian opposition parties.
Reacting to the protest by wrestlers, Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said, “We all have to stand with the wrestlers who are protesting. They are waiting for justice.Our players are the pride of our country. They are champions. The convicts have to be brought to the ambit of the law irrespective of their political influence.
