Assam State BJP executive meet concluded

Guwahati: The Bharatiya Janata Party Assam Pradesh executive meeting held today at the International Auditorium of Srimanta Sankardeva Kalakshetra. The second executive meeting this year was chaired by BJP state president Bhabesh Kalita. Today’s meeting was attended by Chief Minister of Assam Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, Union Ministers Sarbananda Sonowal, Rameshwar Teli, Bharatiya Janata Party General Secretary Dilip Saikia, Bharatiya Janata Party Vice President and Assam In-charge Baijayant Jay Panda, Co-in-charge Pawan Sharma and North East Coordinator and National Spokesperson Sambit Patra. In his welcome address, President Kalita thanked the Government of Assam for successfully passing two years of the State Government led by Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma. Speaking on the party’s upcoming agenda, Bhabesh Kalita said, “At the initiative of the BJP, 14 huge rallies will be held in 14 Lok Sabha constituencies of Assam along with several meetings.Prime Minister Narendra Modi, national president JP Nadda, Union ministers Amit Shah and Rajnath Singh will be present at that rally. Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal said that BJP has to continue its victory march, the workers will have to reach out to the people. He also said that under the able leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India is moving forward at a rapid pace to become the Viswa Guru.

Under the leadership of Narendra Modi, the people of the country have developed all-round developments, similarly, under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, assam has been flooded with development.State secretary Aparajita Bhuyan read out the condolence resolution at today’s meeting. Vice President Dr. Rajdeep Roy read out the votes of thanks note. Bharatiya Janata Party national vice-president and in-charge of Assam Baijayant Jay Panda and state organising general secretary Phanindra Nath Sharma addressed the party workers on the organisational front. Bjp national spokesperson and North East India coordinator Sambit Patra spoke on the work done by the party workers on the occasion of the ninth anniversary of the Central Government. State General Secretary Pulak Gohain spoke on the party’s upcoming Maha Jan Sampark Abhiyan and another state general secretary and Dipluranjan Sharma spoke on the party’s booth empowerment programme. Delivering the valedictory address at the meeting, Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma said, The Assam BJP has performed well within India. Construction of 150 mandal offices in Assam will be completed before the Lok Sabha elections. Urging the party workers to share the happiness and sorrow of the people, Dr. Sharma said that the workers should continue to work with the spirit of the BJP and not the ruling party. He added that May 25 is an important day for the people of Assam. On the same day, appointment letters will be distributed to 45,000 youth in the presence of Union Home Minister Amit Shah. In keeping with the party’s great campaign relationship, Sharma urged the party workers to greet 45,000 youth as well as the Bihuwa-Bihuwati who set a world record. Today’s meeting was attended by state BJP office bearers, spokespersons, district presidents as well as all executive members.
