Suranjana Dutta, the first woman officer from Assam to be appointed as chief general manager of SBI

Guwahati: Good news for Assam. Assam’s daughter Suranjana Dutta has been appointed as the new Chief General Manager (CGM) of the State Bank of India (SBI).

Suranjana Dutta is the first woman officer from Assam to take over as the CGM. Earlier, Dutta had served as the General Manager of SBI’s North East Circle and was posted at the local headquarters in Guwahati.
