World Bank approves $391 million project to upgrade healthcare in Assam, Tripura

New Delhi: There is a good news for the people of Assam. The World Bank will contribute a huge amount of money for the creation of healthcare sector and other economic facilities in Assam and Tripura.

The World Bank has approved financial assistance of US$ 391 million to ensure high quality healthcare and create economic opportunities for the people of Assam and Tripura. It has approved US$ 251 million for the Healthcare Industry (ACES) project of Assam. The approval will directly serve at least 1.8 million people, the World Bank said in a release.
