New Delhi: The NCP has moved a petition seeking cancellation of rebel Ajit Power’s MLA post. Sharad Pawar’s party has already filed an application against nine NCP MLAs, including Ajit, before the Maharashtra Assembly Speaker.
Maharashtra NCP president Jayant Patil said that though some MLAs have parted ways, the support of all party leaders and workers is still with Sharad Pawar. Ajit Pawar was sworn in as the Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra in the BJP-Shiv Sena coalition government on Sunday afternoon. Since then, state politics has been rocked.
