At the same time, Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren also expressed concern over the incident in Manipur. The chief minister has written a letter to President Draupadi Murmu regarding the incident of two women having a naked parade each. In the letter, Soren wrote- Violence in the state of Manipur… I am deeply saddened and concerned by the increasing situation in Manipur… Unspeakable atrocities and sexual exploitation of women are being done… Manipur has been on fire for two months, heart-wrenching videos have been seen and the break-up of democratic rule in the northeastern state has begun.
