New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has suffered a major setback in violence-hit Manipur. The Kuki People’s Alliance, an NDA ally, has withdrawn support to chief minister N Biren Singh’s government.
In a letter to the governor, the party’s president, Tongmang Haokip, said he would withdraw his support. On the other hand, the Centre has decided to send 900 more security personnel to the fire-ravaged Manipur on Sunday.
