New Delhi: The Cabinet meeting of the Assam government held again outside the state in New Delhi on Wednesday in the presence of Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma . Several important decisions were taken in the Cabinet meeting. Decisions taken in today’s cabinet meeting are as follows:
The deadline for retirement of ASHA workers has been fixed in the cabinet. ASHA workers will retire at the age of 60. ASHA workers who have completed a tenure of 10 years will get a grant of Rs 2 lakh at the time of retirement and Rs 3 lakh fixed for supervisors.
Those who have completed 10 years but want to retire before 60 years will get a grant of Rs 1 lakh. Important decisions were taken in today’s cabinet meeting for the tourism department also . Funding from the government will be provided to facilitate flight operations in the non urban sector. New flights will operate between Guwahati and Jorhat.
Special arrangements have been made for the six communities of the state. Special reservation has been provided for five communities. There will be reservation in ITI for Ahoms, Chutiya , Marans, Matoks and Koch Rajbanshis.
In today’s cabinet meeting it was decided to hold a sports exercise called Khel Maharan in Assam. The Khel Maharan will be played from November 1 to January 10. For this, necessary funds will be provided . The game will start from the village.
