New Delhi: At least nine pilgrims were killed in Shimla after a temple collapsed due to heavy rains. The accident took place at Summer Hill in Shimla on Monday morning. A part of the Shiva temple collapsed suddenly. Many visitors were present inside the temple for worship at that time. Many are feared dead after being crushed under collapsed concrete.
According to local news agencies, at least 50 people had gathered at the Shiva temple when the accident took place on Monday morning. Later, the Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh tweeted the sad news. “Nine bodies have been recovered so far. However, many more are feared buried under the debris. Rescue operations are also underway. ’’
