Photo exhibition on Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav and 9 Years of Seva, Sushasan and Garib Kalyan’ begins at Dhekiajuli
Guwahati:A two-day Photo exhibition cum outreach programme by Central Bureau of Communication(CBC),Regional office, Guwahati begins today at Netaji Bidyamandir High School, Dhekiajuli.
The theme of the exhibition is Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and 9 years of Seva, Sushasan and Garib Kalyan. The exhibition aims to raise awareness among the students and youth about the sacrifices made by the freedom fighters of the nation and also the Government’s schemes and initiatives over the past 9 years. The exhibition today was Inaugurated by Shri Mausam Das, Block Development Officer of Dhekiajuli.Speaking on the occasion the dignitaries recalled the sacrifices of the freedom fighters of the Nation. Mahua Das, Head Mistress, Netaji Bidyamandir High School in her address urged the students to remember and follow the ideals of the freedom fighters. She also praised the initiative of CBC Guwahati for organizing such exhibition in Dhekiajuli. Barnali Mahanta, Field Publicity Officer, CBC, Guwahati spoke about the aim and significance of the programme in her welcome address. She highlighted that that the country is celebrating Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav to pay tribute to the martyrs and to aware the masses about their contribution. She also said that Government is taking various developmental initiatives for the people and such exhibitions help the masses to be more aware of the program and policies of the government.Basudev Sen, President, School Management Development Committee, Bidyamandir High School, Shri Dilip Dey, Vice President, School Development Development Committee, Netaji Bidyamandir High School and Shri Asim Kumar Das, Social worker were also present along with other dignitaries on the occasion. The exhibition showcases over 40 panels dedicated to the Freedom fighters of North East India, as well as the achievements of the last 9 years in terms of Seva, Sushasan, and Garib Kalyan. Various competitions including art, dance and quiz among students will also held in the two-day programme.
