Guwahati:Assam Skill Development Mission (ASDM) organized a Mega Registration Drive on 25th, 26th & 27th August, 2023 across all the districts of Assam for enrollment of interested candidates for its upcoming fully government sponsored residential skill training programs which is scheduled to start from the month of September, 2023 in the entire state.
The first of its kind registration drive organized by ASDM for mobilization of candidates was attended by thousands of youth from all walks of life in the notified 31 venues which were set up at the districts, preferably in govt. ITIs & Employment Exchange Offices, under Skill, Employment & Entrepreneurship Department, Govt. of Assam for which much publicity was carried out through newspaper advertisements, social media posts etc. During the Mega Registration Drive, youths have shown great interest and enthusiasm for enrolling themselves for the skill training programs in differentjob roles across various sectors. In the three days, aspirants came in large numbersto the Registration venues and the outcome was indeed very encouraging.These are the figures for the Registration Drive after successful completion of 3 days: · Total number of registrations done: 15779 . Total number of registrations for present job role: 12330 . Total number of registrations for training for future job roles: 3449 ASDM would like to extend its gratitude to all the stakeholders of this Mega Registration Drive for making it a grand success. ASDM also appreciates the support and coverage given by all the media houses of Assam (both print & electronic) for dissemination of information about the Mega Registration Drive to the prospective youth of the state.
