Second report of caste survey published in Bihar: 34 per cent of households have a monthly income below Rs 6,000

Patna: The second report of the caste survey in Bihar was released on Tuesday. A grim picture of the state’s economic condition has come to light after the second report of the Caste Survey of Bihar was released.

According to the second report of the Caste Survey, 34 per cent of households in Bihar have a monthly income of less than Rs. 6,000. Besides, 42 per cent of scheduled caste and scheduled tribe households live below the poverty line. Even among the backward families, 33 per cent are poor families.
