New Delhi: Communal violence is yet again at Nuh. Stones were pelted at several women on their way to offer prayers. Stones were allegedly hurled at them from the mosque area. Eight people were seriously injured. Soon after, the local people erupted in protest. The DSP said an investigation has already been initiated into the incident. In August, six people were killed in widespread communal violence in Haryana’s Nuh. Within three months, there was another incident of violence in the state.
According to nuhr police sources, some women and children were going to worship the well. That’s when bricks started raining at them. They were attacked while crossing the mosque area. The incident took place around 8.30 pm on Thursday. Eight women were injured. Initially, it was suspected that some miscreants were pelting stones from the mosque area. Tension prevailed in the area as soon as the incident came to light.
The local SP said they were examining the video of the spot. The work of repairing the mosque was going on, from there stones were thrown at the women. For now, the accused minors will be questioned. The situation was normal till Thursday night, police said. An FIR has been registered on the basis of the incident.
However, unrest resumed in Nuh on Friday morning. The local people staged a massive protest against the stone pelting. DSP Virendra Singh rushed to the spot to control the situation. Peace to all
