New Delhi: A dispute broke out between the father and son over the final of the Cricket World Cup. A man has been accused of strangling his son to death. The incident took place in Uttar Pradesh’s Kanpur on Sunday.
Sunday was the World Cup final. India and Australia met at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Gujarat. There was a frenzy all over the country about the World Cup final. Ganesh and Deepak Prasad, both residents of Kanpur, were no less excited about the game. They are father and son. But neighbors can’t imagine another person losing their lives at the hands of one person watching this game.
Police said his son Deepak had asked his father to prepare food. But my father told me he couldn’t make food now. He’s watching the game. When Ganesh was busy watching the game despite repeated requests, Deepak got angry and turned off the TV. Ganesh started arguing with his son about why the TV was turned off. The argument escalated into a scuffle at one point. Then, suddenly, he grabbed the boy’s throat with a wire. He then strangled her to death and fled the house.
After some time, the neighbours found Deepak lying unconscious inside the house and informed the police. Police rushed to the spot and rushed him to a hospital where doctors declared him brought dead. Ganesh has been arrested by the police.
