Two weeks later, army enters rescue operation in Uttarkashi

New Delhi: It’s been two weeks. But in the dark, the future of the 41 workers trapped in the Uttarakhand tunnel crisis. This time, the Indian Army has joined hands in the rescue operation to show the light of their release. They are also engaged in manual drilling. Meanwhile, magma plasma cutters have also been flown from Hyderabad to speed up the work.

Despite the hope, the ‘Auger’ machine has failed inside the tunnel. Now it’s time to cut the machine out and take it again. Otherwise, the last few meters of the tunnel will not be cut. Magma cutters were flown from Hyderabad to Uttarkashi around 2 am on Saturday. With which the auger machine is being cut inside the tunnel. Arnold Dix, an international tunnel expert, said: “The Auger machine was delayed in pulling out the broken parts. The magma machine arrived in the morning and the work could be done quickly. A part of the machine is being cut out by entering through the pipe. Manual drilling is expected to begin once the work is completed.
