At a party meeting, the BSP supremo announced that her nephew Akash Anand will look after the party’s affairs in all states except Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. The BSP is the national party. But influence outside Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand is limited. The BSP has influence in some states like Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Punjab. For now, the responsibility of expanding the organisation in these states falls on Akash Anand.
