The people deprived of Article 370 will also benefit. The Supreme Court on Monday said that the decision to abrogate Article 370 is not unconstitutional.
After the verdict was announced, the Prime Minister expressed his excitement on the X-handle. “The Supreme Court has upheld the decision taken by the Parliament of India. A remarkable decision for hope, progress and unity of our Kashmiri brothers and sisters. Our identity as Indians has been highlighted in this judgment. All promises to the people of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh will be fulfilled. The benefits of development will also reach those who have been deprived due to the implementation of Article 370. Today’s verdict is not only a victory of law but also a promise to build a united India. ”
