New Delhi: From the gas attack to the suspension of opposition MPs almost en masse – the current parliament session witnessed so much! Speaker Om Birla on Monday suspended 31 Opposition MPs, including the Congress and the Trinamool Congress, till the end of the House. The list includes nine TMC MPs, Congress and DMK MPs. Trinamool supremo Mamata Banerjee was furious after hearing the news of the suspension. He said: “What is going on is not desirable at all. I am lucky that I am no longer an MP. ”

On March 13, some youths entered the Lok Sabha and carried out a gas attack. The Delhi Police has arrested six people so far. An investigation into the security breach is underway. At the beginning of the session, there was a ruckus in both the Houses of Parliament as the opposition demanded a statement from the Home Minister on the security issue.
