Chennai: A young software engineer from Chennai was brutally murdered by a classmate and lover on her birthday. The young woman was tied in chains, poured petrol on her and burnt alive. The accused underwent gender change surgery to marry the young woman. They were living together. It is still not clear to the police why this incident took place. The accused has been arrested and is being interrogated.
According to the police, the incident took place in the south Chennai suburb of Kelavakkam. Vetrimran alias Pandi Maheshwari, a former classmate, has been accused of brutally murdering 24-year-old girl R Nandini. To marry Nandini, Vetrimaaran underwent surgery and changed his gender. Both are software engineers. They lived together in Chennai. He worked in an IT company.
