Meeting of Special Committee of Department of Industries, Commerce and Public Enterprises held

Guwahati:The proposal submitted by several institutions to the state industries department for setting up industries in the state was reviewed in detail at a meeting of the Department of Industries, Commerce and Public Enterprises held at Janata Bhawan today.

Dr. Lakshmanan S, Secretary of the Department explained the proposal in detail at the meetingThe meeting was chaired by State Industries, Commerce and Public Enterprises Minister Bimal Bora.The meeting was attended by Managing Director of Assam Industrial Development Corporation Manvendra Pratap Singh, Commissioner of Industries Department Ainam Sharan Kumar Singh, Managing Director of Assam Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation Chinmoy Phukan and other top officials. It may be mentioned that issues such as promising employment of at least 200 people by the industrial establishments in Assam and the facilities that can be provided by the State Government were also discussed in the meeting.
