Therefore, the company will not make any bookings in the Maldives. On the other hand, the countrymen are advocating for a holiday in Lakshadweep without going to the Maldives. Cricketers from Bollywood stars are also on that list. India-Maldives bilateral relations have been tense for several days. After the pictures of Modi’s visit to Lakshadweep became public. Maldivian Youth Affairs Minister Maryam Sheuna called the Prime Minister a clown after seeing his picture. Criticism of India’s beaches is also heard in the mouth of Maldivian leaders. After that, the countrymen called for a boycott of the Maldives. Under pressure, the Maldives government issued a statement suspending three ministers.
