New Delhi: Heavy fog has already affected the states of North India, including Delhi. Many people are facing danger due to the disruption of air traffic as well as train movement. The Met Office forecast that the amount of fog may increase further. Dense to very dense fog may cover most parts of North India.
Cold wave may continue for the next two days. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert for dense fog and cold wave conditions over Punjab and Haryana on Wednesday. An orange alert has been issued for the two states on Thursday due to fog and cold wave. The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for Delhi on Wednesday and Thursday. The temperature in Delhi dropped to four degrees Celsius on Wednesday.
