New Delhi: A massive explosion took place at the Ordnance Factory, the army’s ammunition factory. One employee was killed in the incident. An investigation has been launched to ascertain the cause of the blast.
A massive explosion rocked a factory in Maharashtra’s Bhandara area around 8 am on Saturday. Fifty-two-year-old Avinash Meshram was burnt to death in the blast. He was reportedly working the first shift of the day when the blast occurred. As a result, he found no way to defend himself. There were no other fatalities as he was alone at the time.
An investigation has been launched into the incident. However, the person in charge of the factory is yet to be contacted, police sources said.
