He joined the BJP in the presence of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis at the party office in Mumbai. Another Congress MLA joined Chavan. All in all, the Maharashtra Congress is in crisis. There is a possibility of losing a Rajya Sabha seat. On the other hand, Ashok is likely to file his nomination for the Rajya Sabha on behalf of the BJP tomorrow, sources said.
