New Delhi: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Shakti’ remark has created a stir in national politics. The BJP has hit back at his remarks. Prime Minister Narendra Modi used the Congress leader’s remarks to directly challenge the anti-BJP alliance ‘India’. Addressing a rally in Tamil Nadu, Modi said, “The aim of the Congress is to destroy power. I accept that challenge. I will not allow energy to be destroyed while I have life. ”

The controversy started after Rahul’s speech on Sunday. Sunday was the last day of the Congress leader’s Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra. The ‘yatra’ started from Manipur and ended in Mumbai. The concluding ceremony of ‘Nyay Yatra’ was organised by the Congress at Shivaji Park. Leaders of several political parties, including the anti-BJP alliance ‘India’, were present on the stage. The list included Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK chief MK Stalin, RJD leader and former Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav, Shiv Sena (Yuv).

Speaking at the event on Sunday, Rahul said, “There is a word in Hinduism called Shakti. We are fighting against strength. But what is that power? Raja’s soul is in the EVMs and the country’s investigating agencies ED, CBI, Income Tax Department. “He didn’t stop there. He also claimed that a senior leader from Maharashtra had confessed to his mother Sonia when he quit the Congress that he could not challenge “Shakti”. He was ashamed of going to jail. In the words of the Congress leadership, by ‘Shakti’ Rahul meant central agencies like ‘ED, CBI’.
