New Delhi: The Supreme Court has summoned Ramdev in a misleading advertisement case. Yoga guru’s company Patanjali has been accused of defying the apex court’s order in the case. Ramdev has been summoned to the Supreme Court seeking an explanation as to why his company is repeatedly violating the Supreme Court’s order.
Patanjali has faced the wrath of the Supreme Court several times over misleading advertisements. In November last year, the apex court had said that advertisements containing false information would attract a fine of up to Rs 1 crore. Not only Ramdev, the Supreme Court has also come under fire from the Supreme Court over Patanjali’s advertisement. The top court observed, “The government is sitting blindly. This is very unfortunate. The government must act quickly. ”
